OGGEBBIO

Oggebbio is located on a hill, it is an overcrowded and industrious village, composed by about fifteen small villages located between the lake shore and the hill, looking on the piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore. Today the wealth of Oggebbio are tourism, flowers and art.
The beautiful churches containing precious treasures, the frescoes on the facades of houses and the villas of the nineteenth-century among gardens and vineyards.
The special microclimate conditions favor many varieties of flowers. In the garden of "Villa Anelli" are grown outdoors over 200 varieties of camellias.

In Oggebbio there are several churches to visit:
- Cadessino: the oratory of the Nativity of Mary of the fifteenth century
- Novaglio: the oratory of St. Agatha with Romanesque and Gothic elements which is located on a hill overlooking the lake.
- Gonte: the old church of Oggebbio of the twelfth century with a bell tower 42 meters high.
