"Il picchio" is a few steps from Lake Mergozzo, a break point between lakes and
mountains, and between Ossola and Verbano: perfect for many trekking (Val Grande
Mottarone, Monte Rosa, Val Formazza...) is the ideal starting point for wonderful
excursions to the lakes (Lake Maggiore and his Borromean Islands, Villa Taranto, Arona, Stresa, Verbania or Lake Orta and his Island San Giulio or the nearby Switzerland ...).
